Trying to play catch up!

Whew! Where to begin?? I have started back work and I am LOVING my new school family! They are truly A-MAZ-ING and everyone has been so welcoming to me. So, needless to say, I have been slightly EXTREMELY busy learning new things about my school, getting to know my students, and figuring out the ins an outs!

Bentlee has been keeping us BUSY to say the least! He is the sweetest, moving loving little 1 year old! He loves giving his mommy & daddy kisses. His favorite character is Barney. He still LOVES books and will get them and crawl in our laps for us to read to him. New words he is saying: book, shark, arrgh!, boy, stop, Kasey, Harper, MawMaw, Barney, duck, cow, and holla'. He has learned to navigate the iPod and thinks that it is his. He can get to a few of his favorite games.  Are biggest achievements are pointing to ALL body parts and counting to 3!

Here are a few pictures for you all to enjoy!

Summer Loving, Had Me a BLAST!

So, summer is kicked into full gear and the Bennett 3 have been enjoying every minute of it! Daddy-o was on vacay all last week so we took Mr. B to the beach. He LOVED it and was getting a little too brave by the time the trip ended.  We spent the 4th at Zack's dad's house with his family and the kids had a blast riding the golf cart. Here are a few pictures to share some of our SUMMER FUN! Sorry, some are out of order, and I couldn't get them to switch to the right places!

Mini-Vacay

We had a short, spontaneous, mini vacay this week! Mom, Bentlee, Kinley, and I went down to the coast for the night and spent the next day down at the beach.  Bentlee LOVED sitting at the edge and letting the waves come up and hit him.  At first, he wasn't so sure about the sand, but quickly starting picking it up and throwing it into the water.  When he saw the water, his first reaction was, 'What's that?" He is too darn cute! Here are a few pictures to share of his cuteness!

You Know You Have a Toddler When....

  • Naps are VERY inconsistent {B is starting to nap when he wants; summertime has gotten him way off schedule}
  • You vacuum the 1 and ONLY rug in the house 10 times a day because of crumbs, dirt, and who knows what else
  • Tantrums are liable to happen at any moment {my child is like a ticking time bomb!!}
  • Learning how to share is not so fun to a 19 month old
  • Everything is "What's that?" {I am waiting on him to learn "why"}
  • B LOVES to climb on anything AND everything
On a more positive note :) Bentlee LOVES books. We probably average looking at books on an average of 50 times a day...no kidding!  He loves playing with his barn and putting the animals in and out. This boy already has a love for golf...he carries his clubs everywhere and has learned how to "tee" it up {too stinkin' cute}. His favorite words to use are: what's that, outside, horse, fish, what's that say, 1,2,3, and the animals sounds he can make: horse, pig, cow, sheep, chick.
 Just found some pictures from Easter, my card was "misplaced"

Busy, Busy Life

Wow! It has been a while since I have blog, but that does not mean that our life has been dull.  Few things to catch you up on: 1.) I have transferred to a new school for the 2011-2012 school year; 2.) I have finished my Master's Degree in Special Education; 3.) I have a precious new niece 4.) It's SUMMERTIME for the Bennett's!  The month of May flew by for us! Here are a few pictures to share what has been going on around our house:
Can you see a sigh of relief!

Out of the 5 riding toys we have, he chooses to ride this tiny caterpillar.

This face says it all..."ALL BOY"

He loves this turtle in the pool...It took about 3 times going to the pool before he wanted to really get in and play.

Have I mentioned that HE LOVES WATER!

Easter Time Fun!

This past weekend, we had the Easter Parade and Egg hunt in Columbia.  Katie and I made Kinley and Bentlee a "carrot car" to ride in the parade. After the parade was over, we went to an Easter egg hunt at the courthouse.   Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Something to Blog About...

So YAY! for me I have finished my electronic portfolio and can now graduate! I am so excited to say the least!! It ended up being 70 powerpoint slides with documents, pictures, and videos embedded on each slide. Some slides ha multiple documents and each slide had to have a description.  I am feeling VERY accomplished now!

Okay, so earlier in the week I mentioned that I would post some pictures to catch up on a few things.  First of all, last weekend when I took my sisters pictures, I attempted to take some pictures of Bentlee and Kinley...here are a few to show you guys how that photo session went!

I am BURIED in school work!

I am BURIED in school work...literally! I have spent countless, YES countless hours working on my portfolio for graduation! I spoke with someone last Friday about it and they said that after this is complete I will basically have everything that I need to complete National Boards.  As of now, I have NO intentions of doing this. Technology is not my friend and this portfolio has to be ALL electronic.  Anyway, my goal is to be finished by Friday. I will post some pictures of B this weekend.  Tonight he called Zack by his name instead of da-da.  Is it bad that I think that is too cute!? I kept making him say it.  Katie and I attempted to take Easter pictures of Bentlee and Kinley this weekend, one word- DISASTER! I will post those too. It is soooo not fun trying to get a 1 year old and 6 year old attitude, dancing, and sassy little girl to take a picture. All i wanted was one {okay, maybe a few} pictures.  However, I did get some beautiful pictures of my baby sis, who is about to deliver any day. I will share those since the are already saved to this computer. That is all for now, be back this weekend :)
